Erectile Dysfunction?

Mon, Mar 1, 2010

General

I’m 23 years old and in great shape. For the last year or so I have been experiencing some sexual dysfunction. The force and amount of ejaculate has significantly decreased and am also experiencing premature ejaculation. I used to be able to last a pretty long time. Throughout this past year there was one point where I was under constant anxiety/stress and also experienced depressive symptoms. However, I am past this "stage" that I was in and am not feeling the stress/anxiety that I once had. At first I thought that the stress could be the reason for my problems but these problems have continued even though i’m not feeling stress or anxiety…….I just think it’s strange that these changes have occured and I’m still young and very healthy……..does anyone have any advice or gone thru anything like this?

thanks
Let me add that I have no problem getting hard

Get your testosterone levels checked. Some doctors won’t approve the tests as most know very little about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Your best bet would be to find an anti-aging doctor in your area; or you could try to find a knowledgeable endocrinologist, but you would need a referral from another doc.

Or,if you have a little bit of cash to spare, you could order a test from lef.org and run the tests yourself (you go to one of their local labs for a blood draw), then present the results to your doctor.

You can find a lot of info on low T here too: http://www.allthingsmale.com/index.htm.

Also, don’t listen to the spam messages and suggestions to use Viagra. You are young and should not have this problem (really, no one should at any age). Get yourself tested now and see where you are.

There could be other reasons beyond low T, of course, (low cholesterol is one), but it’s a good starting point. Contact me if you want more details.

Damage to nerves, arteries, smooth muscles, and fibrous tissues, often as a result of disease, is the most common cause of ED. Diseases such as diabetes, kidney disease, chronic alcoholism, multiple sclerosis, atherosclerosis, vascular disease, and neurologic disease account for about 70 percent of ED cases. Between 35 and 50 percent of men with diabetes experience ED.
