So i’ve been haunted by this condition for years now, and struggling to cope. I have depression, so when I’m depressed….well, then i’m simply depressed but when I do manage to drag myself out of that "blackhole" OCD manages to suck the trace amounts of positivity right out of my body. Like if I think of trying a new hobby i’d enjoy, it’ll always draw out all the negative points and just piss all over my ambition, which just discourages me from trying and crushes my self-confidence.
If there’s a girl I like I always envision her cheating on me, which stops me from even approaching her. Also "fake" forms of sexual arousal over things which when I do (rarely) manage to keep a clear mind do not attract me in any way, shape or form.

It’s an awful, vicious cycle and always emotionally fuelled.

Overall, I have compulsive thoughts and images which can be quite traumatic to say the least. Anytime I try to expell them form my mind, it always manages to resurface in one way or another – loved ones being hurt, all scenarios which end in the worst possible ways.

And just earlier I was just wondering about the whole topic of suicide, I want to live to see myself happy one day (I have many other problems in my life too) so don’t want to die. I personally think it’s immoral and the easy way out, whereas a winner would ride out the storm and come out of it a better person. The OCD response to this, in thoughts of course (not words): "There’s nothing wrong with suicide. It’s not immoral. Do it if you want" It was picking at my brain for a while, until it just hit me: These thoughts, compulsion, demons, or whatever it is that’s trying to hijack my brain are trying to kill me. They’re not just trying to destroy my self esteem and torture me, THEY’RE ACTUALLY TRYING TO KILL ME.

I know the "experts" say it’s an anxiety disorder, but this just seems like so much more. It’s as if i’m being possessed by a spirit hellbent on destroying me.

Anyone else feel this way?

I’m a 28 year old woman. For the past 3 years I am almost always craving sex. It is destroying my friendships and relationships. I’ve been reading up on this p.s.a.d (persistent sexual arousal disorder) which seems almost correct but I dont experience pain or random orgasms. Masturbating doesn’t help and usually makes it worse. It’s rare when I dont feel I need it again right after having sex. I am so aroused that if I focus I can mentally project the sensations to my vagina mimicking intercourse and get off. which is awesome but I had a great boyfriend until last weekend when I cheated on him. We were only able to see each other a couple days a week due to distance. The last few weeks I saw him one night for 3 hours. The next week a little before I went to work then after work for a few hours. Last weekend not at all. I was craving it so bad that without hesitation when a friend of mine made a move, I went for it. Resulting in my hurting three guy I love, and losing him. Why can’t I shut out off? What is causing it? Is there anything I can do to lower my sexual appitite? *SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE. I’M FRUSTRATED ENOUGH BECAUSE NEARLY EVERYTHING ON THE NET ABOUT WOMEN AND AROUSAL ISSUES IS LACK OF INTEREST.

I am often accused of being ”homophobic” and ”ignorant”. I’m just against it because I believe it’s immoral and unnatural. In order for us to survive we need 2 of the opposite genders to create an offspring. How can both the same genders create an offspring? I consider bisexuality, homosexuality and transsexuality a sexual fetish. Like paraphilia. Transsexuality is a gender disorder listed as a mental illness in the DSM.

If transsexuality is listed as mental illness, a gender identity disorder to be exact, than why can’t bisexuality and homosexuality be listed as well? As of 2011. 3.5% of American adults identify as homosexual or bisexual. 0.3% are transsexual. That’s not that much. All it is, is just a sexual arousal to the opposite gender, or to be the opposite gender.

Am I still ”homophobic” and ”ignorant”? Homophobia means fear of homosexuals. People think it is a politically correct term for hatred of homosexuals. Fear is not hatred.

I am 15 years old and im a boy… I really dont want to go into alot of details because it would take forever.. About almost a year ago i think i was suicidal, severely depressed, severely anxous, cutting myself and starving myself.. I went on prozac while i was being counseled.. i took it for a long long time.. Prozac i hated because it literally rendered me incapable of feelling emotion due to how its an ssri and it stops the reuptake of serotonin while simaltaneously dropping dopamine transmission and dopamine AKA (the neurotransmitter repsonsible for allowing you to feel emotion!!!)…. i stopped taking prozac abrubptly..( I have been on ssri’s as a child so i knew what i was in for).. after i went through the withdrawal i swicted myself over to a bottle dated 07 2009 of wellbutrin sr.. wellbutrin is an ndri or norepinephrine dopamine reuptake inhibitor.. i switched because i cant feeel emotion and i am 15 years old with sexual arousal disorder and erectile dysfunction from prozac.. in order to reverse it i switched to a medidcation that raises the transmission of both norepinephrine and dopamine which would allow me to feel emotion… i started taking it half way throught my prozac withdrawal

I then told my psychiatrist that naughty thing i did without supervision but she then said althought it wasnt somethign she recommended i do i did enough research according to her that i actually switched right over to the medication she was going to switch me on only instead of the sr she would switch me to xl

The bottle im taking barely has any effect on me ???

since its from 07 2009 does that mean its effects and potency are gone completely….

i havent noticed what im looking for and switched over for and that was to feel emotion again both good and bad and be abel to get aroused and be able to get errections

I would like to know if because it is yearrrss old if that has any effect on its potency and the reason it isnt seeming to have an effect keeping in mind i gave it a month to initiate into my body

people who have experiences with wellbutrin and general knowledge of what the effects of time and erosion have on the potency of a pill of wellbutrin sr

Why don’t people seriously consider the possibility that we’re only born with a libido, but how it is expressed is a matter of social learning? And if sexual preference is entirely genetic, why don’t we include all of the alternative sexualities described in the link above?
@AdamKadmon: I’m not suggesting that you woke up on one fine Sunday morning and just decided to be homosexual (or whatever). I’m simply saying that your sexual preference could be considered a product of your unique upbringing, early childhood experiences, and later social interactions. And once it is set, I’d agree it’s practically impossible to change one’s sexual preference.

About 2 months ago, while i was masterbating, a couple seconds before i was about to orgasm, my orgasm was going to be so intense and powerful that i thought i was going to get a heart attack, that I decided to do everything in my power to force back my orgasm, this is going to sound weird but i told my brainover and over not to feel it, kind of pushing the signals of excitment back in my brain, so the second that it happened, I felt nothin, i felt no pleasure. Iam sure at least i think its because ikept telling my self over and over not to feel it, but either way I was traumatized!!! i thought i was doomed to have pleasurless orgasmsfor the rest of my life. Ever since then I have absolutley no sex drive, i cant get sexually excited, it doesent feel good when i touch myself, and i feel like isuffer fromsexual desire disrder, sexual arousal disorder, and an orgasm problem iam scared that i triggered somethingin my brain that day and its permanent and forever. either way thats my story… if anyone who knows about sexual dysfunctions can help me, that would be very helpful! hello there,

I’m 16 and sex has never really been a problem for me until now.
I used to be able to get turned on if I wanted to, and then get turned off in an instant.
I would sometimes have a little… ahem… time to myself if I wanted to.

But now… it seems like it’s hard for me to get turned on AND it’s hard for me to get turned off.
But… randomly I’ll get this weird sensation in between my legs… and I can’t control it.
It doesn’t really feel like I’m turned on… it just feels like there’s blood-rush down there and sometimes minor tingling.
It won’t go away… well, it’ll go away after a LONG time (hours, sometime I have to go asleep for it to go away).

so… now I’m frightened to get turned on because I’m afraid I’ll never get turned off (also known as persistent sexual arousal disorder).

please, I masterbated once when I had these feelings and it didn’t go away… is this normal?

has anyone else felt like this, and if you have, will it go away on its own? do you still enjoy sex without it invading your normal life?

please help me, I don’t know what’s going on…
