Hello all, I have a very bad type of prostate cancer, and was wondering what to expect when the apputate the penis. How will I urinate? Is there any way to have sexual stimulation? Thanks.

If you have your penis removed there will be no sexual stimulation and you will urinate through a catheter.

urination may require you to use a catheter for the rest of your life. there will be no way to have sexual stimulation because that is caused by nerves on the head of the penis which would be removed

Sorry to hear that. I think the doctor could answer these questions better than most of us! (ie: why is there always a chick who doesn’t offer anything useful in the men’s health section anyway?)

your prostate is internal, not in your penis
the only case that requires amputation of the penis is penile cancer which is extremely rare and happens when you are 65+

they dont cut ur dick off they usually take out ur prostate or put u through radiation or kemo

Since the penis is not near the prostate, there is no reason to amputate it for prostatic cancer. They would remove the prostate.
Penile cancer itself it extremely rare, both for circumcised and uncircumcised men–that would be a reason for amputating the penis, and also gangrene of the penis, but I’ve never heard of penile amputation for the reason you mention.
