Has the Christian teaching of “No sex till marriage” made more people addicted to masturbation?

Wed, Feb 17, 2010

General

Maybe an average person has had the opportunity to relieve the tension via casual sex, but then their Christian principles with which they have been programmed have kicked in and said, “No way, Jose!” So that person has gone to bed and relieved the tension alone. If this same scenario gets repeated often enough, is it possible that a sexual dysfunction may result and that person develops a preference for masturbation? And isn’t a preference for masturbation much more unnatural than casual sex?

Probably, it certainly seems to be driving the online porn industry.

Try the website below, it shows you the pro-premarital sex stuff in the Bible that your church will never tell you about.

    Only the weak
We adults practice a little thing we call, self control

  3. Hammer Brother Says:

    I’d say so.

  4. Ad Astra Per Aspera Says:

Perhaps, but of course we can’t just jump to the conclusion that all people who masturbate are addicted to it.

But I do understand where you’re coming from.

I think how much we over-value abstinence puts way too much stress on people.

  5. gromit801 Says:

Hard to say, but it has created a 60% divorce rate due to sexual incompatibility.

Only when I think of you :-O

  7. MiaKnight Says:

it’s all self indulgence and it should be avoided…..but it is hard to do I give you that Christians are not perfect just forgiven

  8. Not For Promotional Use Says:

They can’t even masturbate. Why do you think so many of them go batshit insane.

  9. Victor Says:

    addicted to masturbation?
it’s not like they are going to get
    married when they are 50

  10. Nixon Back Again Says:

Surely it is better to have a healthy sexual relationship with someone else rather than yourself.

I think the religious are splitting hairs here. If no sex is commanded, then it should be no sex at all.

  11. rizley Says:

    it probably has :)

  12. Question Everything Says:

    No, the internet did that.

I don’t think many people actually have a preference for masturbation.

  13. Tronix Says:

Abstinence only results in teen pregnancies. Because all they’ll tell kids is don’t do it. And when the do it anyways they don’t know crap about birth control

  14. Religious Ron Says:

Well it hasn’t affected me at all. I immerse myself in my work so I guess that helps distract me.

  15. Kaye Says:

    Oh, you again desiree.
I see your still on your "I’m gonna bash Christians with my ignorance of their sexuality" campaign

1)I posted a question about you
    2) You can control masturbation, deprivation from sexual activity will not cause that.

  16. dewcoons Says:

Even married people who can have sexual relations regularly are often still addicted to masturbation. Having casual sex has never prevented a person from masturbating.

  17. thebigm57 Says:

No I am not addicted to masturbation particularly because I’ve a loving partner…I suppose if I were still single I’d perhaps wack the wank once in a while. Frankly, the religious guilt trips about sexuality have always turned me off and I think that many, many people should change their thought processes and stop buying into this crap. Wouldn’t it be novel if all the Shrinks were out of business because we don’t have any sexual guilt trips any more. PEACE!

  18. Jay Says:

WOULD NOT MASTURBATION BE CONSIDERED AS BEING ALSO FORNICATION WHICH IS FORBIDDEN IN THE BIBLE?

  19. REZ Says:

Well…wanna come over then? I mean, we both agree that wanking is not as fulfilling as sex and the whole religion-no-sex-before-marriage thing is bogus, so why don’t we just get out of here and get our love-on?

  20. Anon Says:

Nixon, you atheists must be truly braindead. <<<<<5% of the marriages in the US are virgin-virgin marriages, yet we make up 60% of the divorce rate?

Dream on idiot, if it wasn’t for your sleezy girls that shagged everything that moved, and you for sticking your dicks in every hole you had a chance to stick them in, there wouldn’t be a divorce rate.

  21. Ibrahim Says:

No, it’s made more people addicted to sex.

  22. <3 Rickidie Says:

    thank you! great question.
alright so heres the scoop, people (like christians) who believe in things without good evidence, make bad decisions that can harm or even kill other people… so it wouldnt surprise me if all the people masturbating these days instead of sex are going to have long term problemes. So the people who allow their faith to elivate in anyway are harming and killing other people-

  23. Counsellor Oneil Says:

Masturbation in women and men is a very healthy habit and no harm in practicing it before and even after marriage.
