If you are engaging in sexual activity over the internet/computer system, you are most likely cybering. But you should not trust people you meet over the internet unless you know them very well in person and trust them with your life. Because they could be lying they could say they are American and a virgin, but really they are an African non-virgin or worst, a rapist. (I am not racist, I am just using it as an example.) My point is, no one is normally who they say they are so you have to be 110% careful.

And if you are engaging in sexual activity over the phone, that is phone sex. It is like you are having sex but not really. Just over the phone. Again, this is not very safe because what I always think of is what if this guy/girl is just messin’ with me and right after I do this they might tell all their friends and it will become a rumor and I will be the year’s joke. You have to be 110% safe again. Even though it may be fun for some opinions, you have to be careful.

I met a guy online, then later in real life, and it lasted seven years. There was a LITTLE bit of cybering going on, but I think we both found that a bit weird. I’m not saying cybering is weird as such – more that it didn’t suit us.

The guy misrepresented himself to me a little bit. I think that’s one of the major flaws with online relationships – there is always the temptation to make yourself out to be other than what you actually are. He didn’t tell any huge lies about his life, but his character in real life turned out to be quite different to what it was online.

Anyway, the relationship was no better and no worse than an offline one.
