I don’t want my parents to find out because they will probably think I got lice by sexual activity, which is not the case at all.
I have been itchy for a few months. I remember I spent the night at my friends house and her dad got me sheets from their closet to put on the bed for me to sleep on…the next day I was itchy. What would happen if this continues and is not treated? (i would have to buy the treatment without my parents knowing)

You can go up to your local drug store or grocery store (CVS, Target, etc.) and look for lice shampoo. You have to use it VERY carefully though. And you need to wash all your sheets in hot water, as well as all your clothes. Clean out your drawers and vacuum the floor around your bed, etc.
By the way, if you were my son and you came to me to tell you about the time you slept at your friends house – I’d believe you and get you treated without trying to embarass you. I’m sorry this happened to you… but stuff like this happens and it’s best to take care of it right away.

You can get rid of them the same way that you get rid of regular head lice. You can buy something from the store for it without going to the Dr’s. I think it’s called RID, maybe?!?!

they have a special shampoo for it… much like head lice… if you see no signs (small red spots on on your skin- generally very small cuts from the bugs eating your skin…yea, yea, i am not trying to be gross but some things you need to know- btw, you must check in a place you have not been itching) it could very well be simply dry skin.

Well u couldn’t have caught lice from clean sheets, it could happen from old ones. Pubic lice is the same as head lice, there r treatments to buy at the store, but it will probably burn. My children have had lice on the head of course ,all throughout their young childhood, I have used this remedy MANY MANY times, it sounds gross but it works. I promise not making it up. It should work down there too because lice is lice anyway first u should trim the hair down there one with scissors or clippers(with guards)Then mix a small amount of garlic(fresh minced, not powder) and mayonnaise 2gether then spread on area let sit for 30mins then rinse. Ur gonna have to check 4 the nits(eggs) if u dont get them all they will come back. Or the best remedy is too clipp all the hair off that way u get everything just be careful ouch!!

Have you tried on any pants or bathing suits lately? You coud have gotten them that way. But you should not be using any treatments without seeing a doctor first.
Just tell your mom that you need to see a doctor because you have had some itching in a private area. The doctor can explain to your mom that there are non-sexual ways of getting this and they should not jump to any conclusions. I am sorry that you do not have the sort of relationship with your parents that you can talk about this without worrying that they will think you are sexually active.
Go ahead and let her know that you need to be seen and get to a Dr. You might not have lice, you may have something else instead.
