  1. Luis Guerra Says:

The answer is YES, they can still have a very healthy sexual activity without having to worry… as long as they practice safe sex.

Now, if your question is related to Unprotected Sex, then the answer gets a little ambiguous and terms like Sero Adaptation or Sero-Sorting play an important role.

If two HIV+ individuals engage in unprotected sex, there is a possibility that they will pass their trend of HIV to each other. The problem with that is that their current medicine treatment might now not be effective anymore (either by an HIV mutation or build resistance). However, so far, there always have been a different treatment that will prove effective. This brings the hypotheses of a "super infection" or "super virus" that can not be treated by any current medication and/or speed up the evolution of the virus. There is no medical records of this and other than a few stories based on a NY case, we can safely classify this as an urban myth.
Now, if we add to the mix the voral load of each individual, things got even more complicated. Lets say that both of them have an undetectable viral load, then the risk of infecting each other through unprotected sex is very low.

So, my final answer would it be. YES, 2 HIV+ people can have a very healthy sexual activity (protected or not) using a SERO-Adaptation model (knowing Viral load and using Health professional support).

if both partners are affected it is better to get married and enjoy freely within their wedlock. it is safer for other outsiders.

  3. Kyle Says:

Yes.. But say if one "partner" has a worse STD then the other I wouldn’t recommend it but hey its STDs dude all the same stuff.

  4. Karma Says:

It is not recommended that partners who have HIV have unprotected sex. HIV mutates and its posible for partners to become infected with a more mutated version of the same disease which can cause problems with the medicines they are using for treatment.

  5. flowerman Says:

No, they need to worry. WHat happens with people with HIV they build up resistance to their medications. If 2 people who are HIV+ are having unprotected sex they can become "re" infected with the resistance of their partner and loose the number of medications that will work for them. Which can bring on AIDS much faster.
