Infection and sexual activity?

Sat, Feb 20, 2010

General

I was diagnosed with a bacteria infection. I was prescribed flagyl 2x daily for 7 days. I was told no sexual activity for 10 days 7 while taking the medication and 3 days after. My question is can I still have anal sex but no vaginal or none at all?

I would say just to be on the safe side, no sexual activity of any kind. You would not want to give the infection to your man. If he didn’t know he had it, and then he could give it back to you and thus the cycle repeats itself. I wold say abstain for the time suggested and then once you are healed, continue on with your routine. Hope that helps.
