I’m a 20 year old male. I’ve been masturbating or having sex 4-6 a week for years now. For reasons I will not list, mental reasons, I feel it important for me to sustain from all sexual arousal. I know it is perfectly healthy and normal, but I won’t go into my situation and why I want to do this.
Are there any healthy concerns I would face and things I would need to do? I am talking like a year here.

"To sustain" means to give support. Do you perhaps mean "to refrain?" As for arousal, you cannot possibly stop all sexual arousal. Morning wood has a mind of it’s own.
Physically, abstinence/celibacy will do you no harm, but considering your age, your testosterone levels are quite high, so the urge to hump stuff will be strong and incessant. In the absence of the normal outlet, your frustration may vent itself in socially unacceptable ways, such as a quick temper and general aggressiveness. Expect to hear the phrase "dude, you need to get laid" repeatedly from your family and friends, unless you can find a way to tame your inner tiger. I recommend meditation to achieve peace, and a vigorous physical training program to redirect your reproductive energies.

It’s not unhealthy but it’s sure boring. Priests do it and they are still healthy.
Perhaps the mental part of you will get very frustrated.

Yes, it is unhealthy, I would rate that right up there with starvation, but you do whatever you got to do, my friend.-Voodoo

No, it’s fine. And if you stop for that long, imagine how good it will feel when you do it again!

No. it’s called celibacy. Contrary to what the media would have you believe, plenty of people live this way without ill effect due to religious convictions, health reasons, and other reasons.
It’s your body, and sex is not a requirement like food, air, and water, no mater what Madison Avenue may tell you!
Take care and Happy New Year!

Hey dude,
It’s ok if you stop it, but there are some reasons not to…first, sexual activities help you release stress and jacking off can even lessen your risk of having prostate cancer..Also, it can help you perform much better when you already do it with your future wife..
Just ease up a little bit and it’ll be fine
hope this helps
