Loss of sexual desire?

Tue, Mar 9, 2010

General

I’m nearly 16 now, and for about 3 weeks, I feel like I’ve lost all sexual desires.
This may sound stupid, but now, I do not get an erection from anything. Not even porn. Before, whenever I thought something, I’d get an erection. Now, it’s all gone. I’m worried because aren’t guys in my age group supposed to be getting erections every once in a while? I’m not getting any. And I don’t get morning wood anymore, though I haven’t for a while.

However, with stimulation I can get an erection and ejaculate, but naturally, it won’t happen.

Is there anything wrong?

Yes, there is something wrong. You have to see a doctor though to get some tests run. They’re not only for this but, it might concern our entire health and stability in the hormone department.

Stimulation IS getting it naturally. It’s not like you’re taking medication.

You’re young, your hormones are crazy, it’s really just puberty. Be HAPPY it won’t just happen randomly anymore. that seems embarrassing.

That doesn’t sound normal. It could have something to do with thyroid possibly. 59 million americans have problems with thyroid so it’s pretty common.. I researched it myself and read that a problem with thyroid can lead to lowered sex-drive and a list of other things because it messes with your hormones. It didn’t specify gender so I’m sure it is the same for both men and women. If I get the courage to get tested I’m going to get the blood work to see if that’s my problem with my sex-drive. Come with me to hold my hand? :’( :’(

At your age a morning erection should be a regular occurrence, you should see your doctor, if you are on any prescription meds. ask him if these could have an effect(don’t quit taking them unless he tells you to)
I hope your not using any recreational drugs, if you are stop and see if things improve.
