Nervousness with sexual activity?

Fri, Apr 16, 2010

General

I’ve been seeing this girl and I’m pretty fine with talking and just hanging out. When it comes to sexual things I’m perfectly competent but seem to get pretty nervous. Not very nervous but just enough to stop before orgasm. I think it’s mostly because i’m very critical on what people will think of me… It’s not that I’m worried, just that it’s the first time with her.

Is there anything I can do to make myself less nervous?

  1. Marco M Says:

You haven’t achieved real intimacy with her — comfortable acceptance of each other. You still feel like your performance is being judged, so you can’t really relax. There may also be questions about your intentions toward each other. What is the future of this relationship, if any? Are you just fooling around, or is it going somewhere? Or does she THINK it’s going somewhere, but you’re really just fooling around? All that can impact sex.
