Let me guess, abstinence "education"?
Puss in Boots- tell that to Becky Bell.
zaza- I know I have a darling baby. I don’t need you to tell me that.
No welfare? That’s not very pro life of you.
How funny, they’re demanding 14 and 15 year olds exercise self control! Sound like any teen you know?

RU486— The book is close to being ready.

To those who lie about the Constitution:

These poor folks that believe that abortion is not constitutionally protected are simply brainwashed. The right to abortion was practiced by our founding fathers. The founders stated clearly that the Constitution was designed to protect all the rights of an English subject prior to the revolution and that no rights would be taken away. Abortion was a right. It is protected by the Constitution. And no state government can take that right away.

And the Supreme Court agrees. So which of these people that claim there is no right to abortion are willing to overthrow the government to take our rights away?
Will there be a war by these nuts or will they simply continue to murder us one by one?

  2. TrueAmerican Says:

Bristole Palin and her bastard child is a result. No buts about it.

  3. Puss in Boots Says:

Banning abortion IS a way to control sexual activity.

  4. JimSock Says:

Burquas or make women where Nancy Pelosi masks.

  5. mckenziecalhoun Says:

Probably not. However, people would again be responsible for the choice they made to participate in a risky activity that in turn they couldn’t kill a fetus to get out of.

Myself, I am not against abortion. I just think the mother and father should be sterilized, permanently, afterwords. They are clearly unfit to be parents if they are willing to kill their own young.

  7. smsmith500 Says:

What I want to see is the law followed by the Constitution, the 10th amendment clearly places the abortion issue in the State legislatures, not in the Federal Courts.

  8. Rich Says:

    Simple, no welfare.

  9. Kiss me I have Swine Flu Says:

Why do you have a picture of a cute little baby and then talk about abortion?

  10. zaza Says:

Control sexual activity? No. Personal responsibility. See, that is the nice thing about some people. They have no problem practicing restraint and using birth control.

Were you, or someone you know, raped? You have such anger inside you about this topic. I pray you were not, but if you were I would certainly understand your "passion" about this subject.

I don’t care how vile you appear to me. You still have a darling baby.

  11. mike Says:

I guess if liberals didn’t have abortion they would throw babies in dumpsters. Have as much sex as you want just don’t expect others to pay for the end results.

  12. Sunshine Says:

Probably abstinence only policy, which is a failure. They can’t even control their own sexual activity as adults who should recognize the consequences, just look at all of the affairs and adultery, and yet they want to promote and rely upon a policy based solely on abstinence, for teenagers, who have historically always been interested in sex, have less discipline, and have less experience with the consequences (until it is too late).

  14. Crusader1189 Says:

How about attaching some stigma back to having children out of wedlock? We have reached a point in the US where more children are born out of wedlock than in it and this is WITH abortion as the law of the land. I know its "mean" to attach social stigmas to a person’s state of birth, but consider that a child born into a single parent home is several magnitudes more likely to live in poverty than one that is born into a two parent family. Is it "mean" to convince teens and unmarried young adults to exercise some self-control in order to have a better life for themselves and their future offspring?

    Let the thumbs down begin.

  15. Bill Says:

Have you ever heard of self-control? I know it’s a fading attribute in today’s society, but in the past, people took responsibility for their own actions, this led them to make better decisions.

Additional: it’s sad that you set such low standards, maybe that’s the problem today, no one is willing to challenge themselves or their children.

  16. ChangeYouCanSeeDaily Says:

This is a moot point it will never happen.
So why make a non-issue and stir hard feelings.
I am pro-choice and not the least bit worried we will loose that option.

  17. grob Says:

You are asking conservatives about controlling sexual activity after the last month?

  18. Canucklehead Says:

Well…if Conservatives were in power and if they did get roe v wade overturned then my guess would be that they would then expand government to include some kind of Sex Police. Masked guys dressed in black kicking in random doors and giving women pregnancy tests….if the women show up positive then the Baby Police do the followup door kicking in after 9 months to make sure a baby is there…if not, then the parents will be executed on the spot for murder and the orphaned kids left behind will be sent to a Christian orphanage where they will be beaten and raped by jesus lovers until they turn 18.

They never talk about enforcement should abortion be deemed illegal…most likely because my scenario above is exactly what they have in mind.

  19. satcomgrunt Says:

Actually under the US Consitution the Federal Government has no say in abortion one way or the other. What it does say to sum up the 10th Amendment is that if a power over something does not belong to the Federal Government that power belongs to the States.

As such Roe V. Wade was a power grab by the Federal Government and I wish to see the Constitution upheld and have abortion left up to the states

  20. jamie Says:

well having an abortion and killing a baby hmmmmmm ?
yea ok my liberal friend whatever you say lol
you good liberals as caring as you are
    whatever
    why waste my time

  21. Red Says:

Er, you’re making it sound like teaching kids abstinence is futile…I grew up in a household that taught the importance of abstinence and I refrained from sexual activity until I was in my twenties- and believe me, I had plenty of opportunities. Relying on abortion as a method of birth control is WRONG…I cannot believe you’d even support such a ludicrous idea- especially since you are familiar with the wonderful privilege of being a mother. Fourteen year old kids aren’t stupid- it’s the adults around them who think they are undeserving of the truth that enables them to turn to sex. Being open and frank with your children is the most important thing you can do- and it CAN enforce abstinence.

Elective abortion (purely by choice- not by extenuating health issues) is wrong. Anyone who takes the time to read up on the cycle of fetal development would know this. By the time most women even realize they are pregnant, their child already has a beating heart and fully formed organs (4-8 weeks). Just because it’s small doesn’t make it any less of a person.

  22. Jennifer L Says:

Pro life doesn’t necessarily mean anti-birth control. Yes, you’ll find a segment of people that oppose abortion, sex education /and/ birth control, but it’s a mistake to automatically lump them all together.

There are a lot of people that are against abortion, but believe in sex education and birth control. The idea is to /prevent/ the pregnancy, not terminate it.

Personally, I have less of a problem with the "morning after pill" and other early-term abortions. I take issue when an elective abortion happens past the point of viability. I have no problem with sex education or birth control.

ETA: For people that want a return of the stigma of unwed mothers, please research the "baby scoop era" in which unwed mothers were threatened, coerced or forced to give up their children for adoption to "more deserving" (AKA: Married) people. That’s where the stigma got us.

  23. Scarlet Begonias Says:

by preaching abstinence….. which is a waste of time if you ask me. People are going to have sex whether anyone likes it or not.

  24. Inca Yebail - The 6th profit. Says:

The Conservative dilemma. Profound love for the unborn baby, care less than nothing for the poor child.

  25. Steelegrave Says:

Becky Bell? Are you idiots still using that lie to promote abortion on demand?

"Various doctors have confirmed that Becky Bell did not die from an induced abortion. Dr. John Curry, former head of the Tissue Bank at Bethesda Naval Hospital, reviewed the coroner’s pathology report. He noted that the report listed massive infection in Becky Bell’s lungs and in other areas of her body, but there was no evidence of infection on the outside of her uterus or within it. He also stated that the germ that killed her was a common pneumonia germ "… which is unlikely to originate from a contaminated abortion procedure"

  26. Victoria Sparda +Pagan Feminist+ Says:

  27. greatprincemichael Says:

Although I agree with religious conservatives who want to challenge the youth to delay sexual activity for a while, I totally disagree with their message that a condom is a provision for sin. I send my Christian friends to the website below which debunks the whole thing against premarital sex in the Bible. That way they have no excuse not to support comprehensive sex education.

  28. "Stonewall" Buster 2.0 Says:
