ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION AND ALCOHOL
Alcohol may also cause sexual dysfunction, preventing men from achieving an erection and enjoying orgasm.
Numerous studies on erectile dysfunction and alcohol have indicated that alcohol abuse in men can cause impaired testosterone production and shrinkage of the testes (i.e. testicular atrophy). Those changes can result in impotence, infertility, and reduced male secondary characteristics (e.g. reduced facial and chest hair, breast enlargement, and a shift in fat deposition from the abdomen to the hip area).
When alcohol is broken down in the body, it may also interfere with normal sperm structure and movement.
Heavy drinkers may find they have fewer long term relationships, they are less able to find and maintain sexual partners, and their personal issues and problems make them less attractive in the eyes of others.
In addition, it’s hard to communicate and develop a meaningful relationship with your partner, when alcohol prevents you from thinking clearly and behaving in an appropriate and thoughtful manner.

Seems like everyone else has covered the physical aspects of male dysfunction – I’ll chip in two cents on the female…
1) lack of desire
2) lack of the inability (psychologically) to express intimacy. – Once alcoholism has progressed through the "sleep with anything phase" they generally are unable to care about sex with anyone…
