I’ve been wondering this for a while. I thought of why it is that some men can last 3-5 minutes through physical sexual stimulation before orgasming and some can last less than a minute. The theory I had was lack of masturbation during puberty, but that has been proven false to me recently, at least to some extent.
So, I wonder, is it genetic, or is it something psychological and emotional? Just a ponder.

Performance anxiety is a big contributor, but I’m not sure if it’s a root cause. Unfortunately, the more anxious a man is about performing, the less likely he is to last very long. This creates a vicious cycle wherein anxiety leads to premature ejaculation which leads to anxiety which leads to…and so on and so forth. In other words, it’s more mental than physical.
There are a couple techniques which can help: one is called the stop-start technique and the other is called the squeeze technique. These exercises help a man tolerate prolonged stimulation without ejaculating. They should be practiced in a relaxed and non-demanding atmosphere which helps reduce anxiety. All that’s required is a patient and understanding partner.

The ability to last a long time is always debatable. My theory: it is not genetic or emotional. I think it is a combination of mental and physical: when you masturbate to completion quickly every time you are training your body to think about orgasm and the body get used to coming quickly. So if you train yourself to last a little longer each time you will eventually get to where you can last as long as you want.

3-5 (three to five)?! Are you serious? Think more like *35 (THIRTY FIVE)*, with some quite ordinary people’s individual records topping an hour easy.
It’s all mental control and practice makes perfect. So, yes, masturbation, and yes, being able to sense that brink and step back from it. And DO think about baseball – think about the ugliest, sweatiest, tobacco-spitting hairy guy that ever disgraced a TV screen. It works, just don’t do it too late and don’t overdo it – you can actually just lose it altogether from too much of the image.
If that doesn’t work, then you might be overexcited by your girl – in which case, train to make the second time count. Don’t let yourself worry, that’ll kill it. Ask her if it’s OK to do a quickie for you cause it is just too much and then go long for her after. Spend recovery time working w/ your fingers or tongue. Also, train to shorten recovery by masturbating twice in a row. Eat a high-protein diet with lots of vitamins. Drink a Red Bull before the deed (they do help, strangely enough). Go back into her when you’re barely hard enough to continue, not at full strength – you can sometimes go 5x as long in that state.
Most importantly, stop worrying. Relax. Have a drink if you need it and that’s legal, not too much, just one – any more and it’ll affect your performance. As soon as you’re truly calm, you have full control – 3 minutes or 30 or until you’re too tired to go on.
Oh, and do oral or fingering on her first. Make her orgasm before you ever go in. Works wonders on your confidence.
